What’s one of your earliest memories of appreciating design? Travelling through Europe in my 20s. Its historical architecture had a profound impact.
What drew you to the interiors game? I began as an art student, which led into fashion design. When I bought my first home, I gravitated towards interiors.

How would you describe your interior style? It blends a passion for mid-century design with an appreciation for contemporary art and design.
How do you focus working from home? If my workspace gets cluttered, my mind feels the same! With a new studio on the horizon, I’ll be able to focus even more.
What’s your go-to for elevating a room? Something to draw the eye — a striking piece of art, sculptural furniture or a vessel with interesting texture or shine.
Which one item should people splurge on? Quality seating — a well-made sofa or restored mid-century piece, which is often exceptionally crafted and far outlasts many of today’s options.
How can people make their homes more characterful? Take a little time to truly understand what you love and let your home reflect your personality.
What do you want to see more of in interiors in NZ? Support for local makers and designers. Fostering our own talent strengthens the industry and helps create a unique design identity.
What’s one interior trend you hope people leave behind in 2025? Fast furniture and cheap imitations! They’re unsustainable and lack character.
When I’m not working I’m… Mostly chasing after my kids.
