How to style a throw with Weave’s latest locally designed collection

In association with Weave.

Just like when you’re cooking in the kitchen, getting the result you want in your living areas requires the correct ingredients and method. Similar to an artfully iced chocolate cake, achieving the perfectly thrown throw starts with getting the basics right, adding some expertise and finishing with a flourish.
These shots are styled with throws from Weave’s latest range, which provides the highest quality raw ingredients: local and recycled wool. The properties of this amazing renewable fibre are widely discussed, but as well as its warmth, breathability, durability, longevity and biodegradability, not often mentioned is the fact it’s anti-static — brilliant for a homeware item you might have on high rotation at certain times of the year, but use as a decorative accent during others.

MAIN IMAGE Weave’s Lawrence throw comes in three colourways — this is Mulberry. TOP Bouclé design Clive in Cinnamon, Snow and Breeze. ABOVE Bressay throws are Weave’s first foray into blending New Zealand wool with recycled yarn to create a slight marle effect; here’s our favourite colour in this style, Fossil.

Weave’s New Zealand-made creations are ultra-soft, generously sized and comfortably lightweight. In their 2024 collection, you’ll find designs to suit any scene. Plain, two-toned or patterned, all make elegant investment pieces that are suitable to style by draping over your sofa of chair, spreading over your bed or throwing like a pro. To get this look right, fold your throw into a triangle shape, take hold of a corner, then toss, allowing the fabric to fall where it may for an effortless effect.
Used inside or out, these deliciously luxurious items will undoubtedly become your essentials — and even better than that chocolate cake, you can have them and ‘eat’ them too, for many years to come.
